I provide oversight and supervision of the entire Medical Physics Division at UPMC CancerCenter/University of Pittsburgh Cancer Institute. I have performed clinical research in the areas of medical physics since 1988. During the last twenty years I have published 133 manuscripts in peer-reviewed journals. I was a co-principal investigator of a few NIAID and industrial grants and have supervised over 17 postdoctoral fellows, MS level medical physicists, and dosimetry students. I served as a member of the International Advisory Board for the journal Physics in Medicine and Biology and have also served as reviewer and guest associate editor for major peer-reviewed journals in the field of medical physics. I am the founding board member of the editorial board of the Journal of Biomedical Physics and Engineering Express, 2015-2016.

Dr. Evangelia D. RAZIS

Dr.Evangelia Razis is a member of ASCO’s International Affairs Committee and Director of the 3rd Oncology Department and Contemporary Oncology Team at the Hygeia Hospital in Athens, Greece.
MD at the NORTHWESTERN University of Chicago, and PhD at the University of Crete, member of the editorial board of the Journal of Oncology Practice, she served as member of the ASCO International Affairs and QOPI steering group, Dr Razis is specialized in breast cancer, gastrointestinal and lung cancer, and special interest on Neuro-oncology and clinical research.
Dr. Razis is also a representative figure in the medical oncology community in Greece, joining ASCO's Quality Oncology Practice Initiative (QOPI) in 2013, her institution being one of the first ones to join this programme outside the United States and the first to be accredited.

Prof. Alina Mihai is a full time Consultant Radiation Oncologist at Beacon Hospital, UCD Clinical Assistant Professor and our Director of Oncology Research. She founded the annual Irish SRS/SBRT Symposium which continues to expand and is recognized internationally. She is the Scientific Program Chair and Head of the Organising Committee. She is also part of the Scientific and Organising Committee of the Annual Best of ASCO-Best of ASTRO meeting, taking place in Romania since 2016.

Dr. Gabriela Chiorean strives to improve care for patients with gastrointestinal and pancreatic cancers. She leads early-stage clinical trials of new therapies for these cancers, including new chemotherapies, immunotherapies and targeted drugs. She also aims to identify biomarkers of cancer, such as molecules in the blood, that could be developed into a minimally invasive test for the early detection of cancers or precancers.
