ASCO QUALITY
TRAINING PROGRAM
15th of June 2023

What is Quality Training Program?
The QTP is designed to prepare oncology care teams to design, implement, and lead successful quality improvement activities in their practice settings, resulting in reduced clinical variation and improved patient outcomes. The workshop introduces tools and frameworks, with the goal to give oncology providers a sense of empowerment and skills such as:
Identify clinical and operational targets for improvement
Form a high-functioning interdisciplinary improvement team
Utilize process analysis tools
Structure a quality improvement project
“ In my opinion, this kind of QTP program should be done by every member of the oncology team, because it helps you better evaluate your services quality and also offers tools for this evaluation. Moreover, it helps identifying areas or domains where you can improve by implementing necessary changes in order to have better performances. It is important to analyze causes of the encountered problems, to have objectives, and, most important, collect data with which you can improve processes within the multidisciplinary team. “
